It has come to my attention that the schools have truancy problems. It also is my opinion that the majority of the problem is too much government involvement in schools. Over the past 40 years the federal government has been slowly integrating a policy of putting the slower students ahead of the faster students. This policy has led to decreased test scores and decreased interest in schools by the faster students.

The United States Government has no constitutional call to even be involved in the local school system. When the 60’s generation came in control of the government the schools were the first thing they took over. Slowly they have initiated a socialist curriculum where the objective is to bring up the slower students, but in reality all that was done is to bring down everyone else to the lowest common denominator. To bring up the slower students, one must take extra time with them; this is not done in the current environment. What is being done is that the students that can learn easily are being dragged down to the slower student’s level.

For schools to be effective they must have full local control because each individual school district has its own level of achievement. By that I mean an area with low income individual may require extra attention due to the parents having not finished school themselves or that there are other environmental variables. An area with higher educated parents might not need a slower pace to achieve the same goal. These variables in each district means that progress will be different. If every area worked at the same pace, either the slow students fail or the faster students loose interest.

By having the federal government decides what the curriculum will be and what level it should be at, the local schools loose in every way. We need to get the federal government out of schools because what works in the 4th district of Ohio might not work in the 23rd district of Alabama. But the federal government uses the same curriculum for both districts. Someone is loosing out and in most cases; proven by test scores, the majority are loosing. When the local schools have complete autonomy the can customize the curriculum to the students they have in class. Let your governor know that this is not working and that the school system has to be independent of federal guidelines or we all will loose out in the long run.

The Constitution of the United Sates does not give the federal government any control over our local schools. It is the desire for federal funds that give them this control. Money for the administration to pay high salaries, but very little for the students. Greed is what it is all about, money in trade for your children’s future.

This did not happen overnight, this happened over a period of 40 years and the test scores and the quality of education is proof of what I am saying. It all started by slowly integrating the socialist agenda of eliminating the individual. Putting everyone in groups and therefore the individual attention was lost, you were not a person any longer you are part of a group and you must work for the betterment of that group. The purpose of this is to eliminate the attention that the slower children received and “made them feel better”.

The spirit of competition was the next to go, playing games during recess was attacked because there might be a winner and a looser and they just could not have anyone feeling bad for loosing. Thank goodness the local parents and the local community got involved and put a stop to that. Your child is not an individual in the school system anymore, ask your child if they have to put their school supplies together with everyone else’s.

You just might be surprised at how many schools make you put your schools supplies together so the students that cannot afford them do not feel bad and can have what they need for school. Share and share alike is what they say, but the real agenda is socialist and the betterment of the group.

Now I know that some people have trouble buying supplies for their child and that is unfortunate, but to make someone give up what they have to support those who do not is the major objective of the federal government. I believe that is called socialist government. Our government has moved towards socialism every since the 60’s generation took over the control of government.

I believe that this quote says it all about our government.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: "From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." – Alexander Fraser Tytler from "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic" published in 1776

This was back during the time of America’s birth, they knew what government was and they knew what government would eventually turn into. That is why the Constitution of the United States gave the power to the individual states and the local governments and NOT to the federal level.

They also knew that eventually the people would want what I call “freebies”. These are what the federal government use to dictate what the states and local governments do and how they will work.

"Education is useless without the Bible."
Noah Webster

This is a subject that brings out all points of view, religion in or on school grounds. We can teach Islam as a subject, we can teach evolution, but we cannot even mention Christianity in schools without having the sky fall on us. When we cannot say the pledge of allegiance because it has God in it then we as a nation are in serious trouble. The Ten Commandments cannot even be in a public area because it has Christian roots, but look at our Supreme Court building and you see Christian symbols and the Ten Commandments. We are in trouble people and it takes a very loud voice to get us out.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation."
President James Madison (1751-1836) speech, Virginia Convention, 1788

This is the voice of our past haunting us and telling us what will happen, and it is happening right now. The socialist way is to take over schools and slowly convert our children and to brain wash them to the socialist way of life. “From Each According To Their Ability, To Each According To Their Needs”. I believe that most of us recognize where those words come from and what they mean. Look around you and see what the government is doing, especially to our children.
